Rule 12
Not to be a potential candidate for promotion
: Notwithstanding anything contained in rule 11, no police officer shall be a potential candidate for promotion during the following period:-
(a) For suspension during the period of suspension,
(b) For withholding of promotion during the period of withholding of promotion,
(c) For suspension of salary increment during the period of suspension of salary increment,
(d) In case of reduction to a lower post, up to two years from the date of reduction,
(e) In case of reduction in salary increment or reduction in the starting scale including seniority, up to one year from the date of such reduction,
(f) If he has been reprimanded more than three times in the current position, up to one year from the date of the last reprimand.
